Bus Director - Teen Director
A native of Grand Junction,
Gabe Skillo was born August 14, 1985. While growing up he was raised in a God fearing home and
attended an independent Baptist church in Grand Junction, Colorado. He had the knowledge of the
Lord, but had never understood making the Lord his personal Saviour. On February 8, 2004, he
submitted his faith to God being saved through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. On
January 2, 2005, he was baptized, as a believer, into the membership of Landmark Baptist Church.
As a champion amateur bodybuilder he possessed the ability to physically succeed but he was
lacking spiritually. The Lord began working in his life and changing the desires of his heart.
Through the preaching of the Word at Landmark Baptist Church, on March 20, 2005, he knew he was
called to be a preacher. Then, at Pastor’s School on March 22, 2006, he surrendered his life to
the Lord for full-time Christian service. The Lord had clearly made the transformation in his
life from amateur bodybuilder to amateur Christian.
He now serves at Landmark Baptist Church as an assistant pastor under the leadership of Pastor
Tom Barlament. The Lord has blessed him with the opportunity to be in charge of the bus and youth
ministries. Mark 4:41 was the first verse to speak to him in a large way. Mark 4:41 says,
"And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that
even the wind and the sea obey him?" As the power of God is great, he intends to allow God
to use him for great things.
