One thing for sure that has come and gone since my last update of the Ute property is…time. In some ways that is what has needed to come and go. As of today we are still on track for the purchase to go smoothly.
November 10th our rezone goes before the planning commission, November 16th the City Council will have its first reading and then on November 30th the final hearing will be held and a decision will be made on the rezone. Once this is done we will have the rezone work complete and we will be on our way to the vision God has given us for the property. We also have in our hands an initial elevation of what the auditorium and building will look like. We are working on a way to display these at church for all to see.
We have been in contact with the tenants of the building. The owner wrote a note informing the tenants of the impending sale on December 15th and Bro. Gabe Skillo (property manager) followed it up with a letter from LBC. We indicated that we want all tenants to stay in the building for the foreseeable future. We have many details that need to be worked out before we will be even close to moving into the property; much more work needs to be done, many questions still have to be answered. God still has a work to do here at LBC and we believe He is going to accomplish his will through this purchase of the Ute building.
